Peñíscola, the city of
«Pope Luna»

Peñíscola is a medieval fortress with a magnificently preserved castle, situated on a rocky peninsula that juts out into the sea. The old town is located within its medieval walls, which partially surround it; on the seaward side, enormous cliffs provide an impenetrable natural barrier. It has held the title of City since 1707.

Throughout history, only three cities in the world have been Papal Seats: Peñíscola, along with Rome and Avignon.

Today, Peñíscola is one of the most attractive tourist centers on the Mediterranean coast. Upon arriving in the city, visitors are greeted by the impressive bulk of the castle. The warm waters can be enjoyed for many months of the year. Natural landscapes like the Sierra Irta (a paradise for cyclists and hikers) and its small coves and vast beaches, along with other leisure activities, delight families and young people alike.

Welcoming and majestic, with its jagged silhouette extending into the Mediterranean waters, Peñíscola invites us to stroll through its ancient streets and delve into its history, allowing us to feel the fascination of bygone times. Today, Peñíscola is a fishing village that has managed to preserve its customs and traditions, welcoming travelers and inviting them to experience the light and intensity of the Mediterranean in this privileged location.

Our hotel is centrally located, facing the North Beach, with most of the rooms enjoying beautiful views of the sea and the historic fortress and castle of Peñíscola, which is only 200 meters away, while the rest overlooks a quiet street oriented west toward the mountains. It will be a pleasure to host you.
